If you play Counter Strike in response to Elder Dragon’s play effect, does the chosen unit die?
No.
Explanation & source
Elder Dragon changes what counts as lethal damage, not how much is dealt. Fully prevented damage is never dealt, so Elder Dragon has nothing to apply to.
