Who runs Riftwatch
Riftwatch is run by Ron Cruz as an independent, non-commercial Riftbound fan project. For anything about your data, message Riftwatch on Instagram.
Visiting the site
Riftwatch uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page visits and understand where visitors come from and which devices they use. Search, saved-item, comparison and private pages are excluded. Page addresses are reported without search terms or filters, and your saved items are not sent to analytics. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we do not load analytics.
Read Vercel’s data collection documentation ↗
Pages load card and set images from Riot Games’ image servers (and, for some promo printings, TCGplayer’s) and video thumbnails from YouTube’s, so those services receive the details every web request carries, such as your IP address and browser. A video loads from youtube-nocookie.com only after you press play. Links to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, TCGplayer and other sites follow those sites’ own policies.
Kept on your device
Your light or dark theme, lesson progress, deck builder drafts, the stack on Add cards, a yes/no note that this browser is signed in and anything you save on this device stay in your browser’s storage. They are not sent to Riftwatch unless you save something to your account.
Speaking card numbers
Speak on the Add cards page uses your browser’s built-in speech recognition. Where your browser can recognize English on your device, as Chrome can after a one-time download, the audio stays on your device. Otherwise your browser sends it to its maker’s speech service, such as Google for Chrome or Apple for Safari, under that company’s privacy policy. Riftwatch never receives or stores the audio, only the card numbers that land in your stack. The page says which kind of recognition is listening.
Your account
Signing in with Google, Discord or Apple gives Riftwatch your basic account identity and email. If you choose Hide My Email with Apple, we receive an Apple relay address instead of your own. We do not receive access to your inbox, files or Discord servers. You choose your Riftwatch name, bio, favorite Legends, collection counts and saved decks.
Your profile starts private. If you make it public in Settings, anyone can see your showcase and full collection. Saved edits appear on the same public page immediately. Each deck has its own setting, which starts as Private: Private decks are only for you; Link decks open for anyone with the link; Community decks appear on your profile and in the Community feed, with when each was last edited and whether it is the deck you’re playing. Email, sign-in details, private deck notes and Considering cards are never included. You can make the profile private again at any time. Sharing a deck code separately creates a snapshot of its list, without private notes. Anyone who receives a shared link may keep a copy. Saving a deck never changes your collection.
We use Supabase to store account data and manage sign-in, and Vercel to host the site. Essential sign-in cookies keep you logged in. Account pages and private deck links are excluded from our analytics. Supabase and Vercel process security logs to operate the service and prevent abuse.
In Account settings you can download your data, sign out on all devices, or permanently delete your account. Deletion removes your active profile, collection, account decks and sign-in sessions. Backup and security-log copies expire under Supabase’s and Vercel’s retention schedules. Device-only drafts and copies of previously shared snapshots are not removed. If you need help with your data, contact Riftwatch.
Prices
Price estimates are TCGplayer market prices from a credited pricing source. Riftwatch stores them and refreshes them on a schedule, so looking at a price sends nothing about you to that source.
What we do not do
Riftwatch does not sell your data, show ads or share your account with advertisers. It is not directed at children under 13.
