Korean Standard begins with Origins.

Korean launch products and format

Korea gets Origins on September 18, and its default tournament format starts there too. Korean Standard will use sets released in Korean, so new players won’t face decks built from every expansion available elsewhere. Korean launch announcement

Check the format before copying a deck

Korean Standard adds Spiritforged with its local December release. The global banned list still applies. Stores and players can opt into global Standard instead, so check the format on the event listing. Korean Standard policy

Ornn, introduced in Spiritforged, is outside the initial Korean Standard pool. Spiritforged’s Legend lineup

A deck to play, or packs to open?

The Korean launch lineup includes boosters, five-card boosters, Jinx, Lee Sin and Viktor Champion Decks, and Proving Grounds. The Champion Decks are complete decks; Proving Grounds supplies four. That gives new players a way to sit down and play without first assembling a collection from packs. Korean product lineup

Where the launch begins

Riot announced demonstrations and Korean products at two Seoul venues: GenG GGX, September 18–23, and Yongsan IPark Dopamine Station, 3F, September 18–30. Launch locations

Korean Standard is temporary: Riot plans seven local set releases in 2027 and targets global parity at the start of 2028. It is also working with PC bang operators to provide places to play alongside game stores. Release and local-play plans
