Riot’s 2027 Premier Play announcement gives all four 2027 Continentals a date and a city and sets six Regionals through June. Madrid, Philadelphia and Dallas were announced in September. The other seven are new.
The four 2027 Continentals
Continentals are Riot’s biggest Riftbound tournaments of the year, one for each set. They run three days, and anyone can enter.

| Dates | City | Venue | Season |
|---|---|---|---|
| March 26-28 | Dallas, USA | Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center | Legacy |
| June 11-13 | Melbourne, Australia | Melbourne Showgrounds | The Reckoning |
| August 13-15 | London, England | ExCeL London | Set 8 |
| December 10-12 | Toronto, Canada | Enercare Centre | Set 9 |
The 2027 Regionals through June
Regionals are this year’s Regional Qualifiers under a new name, and they now run Friday to Sunday.

| Dates | City | Venue | Season |
|---|---|---|---|
| February 5-7 | Madrid, Spain | IFEMA Madrid | Legacy |
| February 12-14 | Philadelphia, USA | Pennsylvania Convention Center | Legacy |
| March 5-7 | Auckland, New Zealand | Auckland Showgrounds | Legacy |
| May 14-16 | Louisville, USA | Kentucky Exposition Center | The Reckoning |
| May 21-23 | Düsseldorf, Germany | Düsseldorf Congress | The Reckoning |
| June 25-27 | Lyon, France | Eurexpo Lyon | The Reckoning |
Auckland is the last Regional of the Legacy season. Riot is still locking in a few more 2027 Regionals and plans to announce the full schedule before the end of 2026, though it says that may be close to the end of the year.
How the three days work
Regionals: Friday and Saturday each have seven rounds. You need a 5-2 record or better on Friday to come back Saturday, and the top cut plays Sunday. Thursday doesn’t become an open hall day: Riot says to expect badge pickup, plus merch where the venue allows it. Side events are staying. Riot says the Friday start affects the Pre-Regional events that were a fixture of this year’s Regional Qualifiers, and it will share more before the first Legacy Regional.
Continentals: Riot hasn’t shared the full format yet. Friday is open to anyone, and the main event starts Saturday. Players who make it through Friday have their records reset there, where they’re joined by players using Continental Day 2 tokens.
Anyone can buy a competitor badge, your entry to the main event. Players who earned a token get a free one, and Gold and Platinum players on the new 2027 ranked ladder get first shot at the leftover badges.
