Riot FAQ · 2026-08-14
If Temporal Breach plays Elder Dragon from base and you pay Dragon Roost’s additional cost, where does it go?
You choose which of the two locations to play it to.
Explanation & source
When mandatory location requirements contradict, the player chooses one and ignores the rest. Restrictions (“can’t”) work differently.

If you take an opponent’s unit with Hostile Takeover, move it to base and then play Temporal Breach on it, where does it go?
It stays in banishment.
Explanation & source
Its owner would be told to play it to another player’s base, which is never possible, so the play is undone during the legality check.
