Riftbound Radiance: Ziggs and Orianna Legends, Neeko and new keywords explained

By Ron Cruz · Published September 26, 2026

Riot revealed Ziggs’s and Orianna’s Legend cards for Radiance, Riftbound’s fifth set, at its developer panel at the Los Angeles Regional Qualifier on September 25. In a Dev Drop video posted that afternoon, Game Director Dave Guskin and Radiance Lead Designer Jon Moormann walk through both Legends, confirm Neeko, Blending In, as the game’s first neutral unit and explain the set’s three new keywords. Riot’s Radiance overview went up at the same time. Radiance releases October 23.

Counting K’Sante’s Legend from Riot’s opening-night video and the Ekko and Seraphine Legends shown earlier, five of Radiance’s nine Legends were out after the panel. Riot has since shown the Legend cards for Evelynn, Jarvan IV and Mordekaiser. The ninth Legend is Riven, whose Legend card Riot hasn’t shown yet. Every Radiance card revealed so far, with its text, is on our Radiance page.

Radiance’s new keywords are Deploy, Show Off and Disarm

Riot says the set’s new keywords “draw inspiration from the world of music.” Here’s what each one does, and our Radiance page lists every revealed card that has them.

Deploy

The reminder text reads: “Play this only to a battlefield. When an opponent holds here, kill this.” Deploy gear goes onto a battlefield instead of your base, “even ones you don’t control,” Riot says. It stays there until an opponent holds that battlefield, which means they still control it at the start of their turn and score it. Conquering the battlefield isn’t enough to remove the gear, and if you hold it yourself, the gear stays. Riot’s reason for the name: “your band can’t play until you set up your stuff.”

Show Off

As you play a Show Off card, you can reveal a different card from your hand or pick a friendly card that’s already on the board. If that card meets the condition printed on the Show Off card, such as being a unit or costing a certain amount, you get the bonus effect. A card you reveal stays in your hand, but your opponent now knows you have it, which the designers call “the price of fame.” Picking a card you already have in play gives nothing away.

Disarm

The reminder text reads: “When I attack, give an enemy unit here -1 Might this turn.” It triggers only when the unit attacks, not when it defends, and the penalty lasts for that turn. Some units carry a number: Disarm 2 gives -2 Might. Riot calls it “a little like Assault.” Assault gives your own attacker extra Might; Disarm takes Might away from an enemy instead.

Ziggs’s Legend plays Bombs to any battlefield

Pay 1 energy and 1 power of any domain and exhaust Ziggs to play a Bomb gear token to a battlefield. Bombs have Deploy, so that can be a battlefield your opponent controls. Because it exhausts him, that’s normally once a turn.

Bomb

When a Bomb dies, it deals 2 damage to an enemy unit at its battlefield and kills your other Bombs there, and each of those deals 2 as well. Riot calls it a chain reaction: “The more bombs you play, the bigger the boom.” An opponent who holds a battlefield with your Bombs on it still scores, but every Bomb there dies and deals its 2.

Signature cards only go in decks whose Legend shares their champion, so this one is for Ziggs decks. It’s an Action, so you can play it on your turn or in a showdown. It kills any number of your Bombs, on any battlefields, and each one deals 2 to an enemy unit there if there is one. At the end of the turn, you play that many new Bombs to any one battlefield, including one your opponent controls. Riot hasn’t said whether Bombs killed by the chain reaction count toward that number. The flavor text is Ziggs’s own line: “Fire in the hole!”

Orianna’s Legend turns one of your gear into a unit

Lady of Clockwork

At the start of your Main Phase, you can pay 1 energy to choose one of your gear. It becomes a unit with Might equal to its energy cost, so a 3-energy gear becomes a 3-Might unit. It stays a unit until you choose a different gear with her, so she animates one gear at a time. An Equipment, the kind of gear that attaches to a unit, comes off automatically and becomes what Riot’s overview calls an Equipment Unit, a new unit type. Her signature card is a gear, The Ball, revealed on October 5.

Neeko is Riftbound’s first neutral unit

Riot calls Neeko “our first neutral unit in Riftbound,” and a neutral card can go in any deck regardless of its domains. If she’s in your deck, you choose three different Legends in addition to your starting one; the card adds that “different means none match names.” When you play her, you add one of those three to your Legend Zone for as long as she stays on the board. Your starting Legend stays where it is, so while Neeko is in play you have two Legends. Riot hasn’t said whether the three have to match your deck’s domains.

Signed Legends, HEARTSTEEL overnumbers and Ultimate Rare odds

Each of the nine new Legends has an overnumbered version, a collector printing numbered past the set’s 167 cards, and those “can be found with an artist’s signature as well,” according to the overview. The panel showed the signed versions of Ziggs’s and Orianna’s Legends: Ziggs’s is 169* with art by Kindlejack, and Orianna’s is 171* with art by Anh Dang.

Riot also showed six HEARTSTEEL overnumbered cards, numbered 178 to 183, putting the members of League’s virtual boy band in new art. Five are cards already in print: Sett, Kingpin; Kayn, Unleashed; Aphelios, Exalted; Ezreal, Dashing; and Yone, Blademaster. The sixth, K’Sante, Courageous, is a Radiance card Riot first showed in July as a Regional Championship Top 8 promo. Overnumbered cards come from the booster slot that can also hold alternate arts and the Ultimate Rare.

Radiance’s Ultimate Rare shows up in about 0.025% of booster packs across the print run, roughly one pack in 4,000, on average. No pack, box or case is guaranteed one.

Riot calls it “our rarest Ultimate Rare yet.” It’s Packed Amphitheater, a battlefield, revealed on October 2 in a RAD 184/167 printing.
